DISCOVERING WHICH ‘PAGE’ YOU ARE ALL ON
Strategic Alignment Relationships (SAR) starts with highly structured 1-to-1 interviews with the executive team to establish the extent to which team members have a shared understanding of the current strategy. Having come to a level of common understanding, we also capture the three or four key goals to which each executive is committed along with his or her perspective on the internal and external factors which promote and inhibit the attainment of that goal.
QUANTIFYING ALIGNMENT AND ROADBLOCKS
We then measure the state of alignment and commitment to the goals and strategy with precision by surveying the entire management team and, at best, the larger organisation. They also contribute their opinion on the factors that are helping or hindering the implementation of the strategy.
CREATING A COLLABORATIVE WAY FORWARD
Our action workshop brings the results to life in a positive, forward looking environment. The data and conversations can often serve as a wake-up call to senior management, a way of creating alignment and traction and a guide for communicating with staff more effectively. Ultimately, SAR serves as a means to building widespread commitment to the strategy, and as a fast track to becoming lean, mean and aligned.
